What is 'gluten free'?

In recent years、 the consumption of a protein called 'gluten' found in wheat, rye and barley has been found to lead to a disease in which the small intestine is damaged, interfering with the absorption of nutrition.

Research has also shown consumption of gluten can lead to general health complaints.

'Gluten free' was originally associated gluten allergies or hypersensitivity, but has been found to resolve skin complaints and lead to weight loss even in those without such sensitivity.
